Today is the American Heart Association's National "Start Eating Healthy Day"

What:
The American Heart Association is committed to getting more Americans to get healthier! By joining our Start Eating Healthy Day celebration in November you, your company and your employees can take a big step toward a healthier lifestyle by making small changes to incorporate healthier food choices.
Why:
By 2020, we want to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent. We can’t reach this aggressive goal alone. But together with partners like you, we can make a significant impact — and perhaps save the lives of people we know.
How:
Start Eating Healthy Day will help raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition and making the best eating decisions. We’ll also provide education, tools and resources to individuals and companies.
Just register your company for Start Eating Healthy Day for an online toolkit to help you plan your Start Eating Healthy Day event. We’ll email you a link to a Holiday Healthy Eating Guide, health tips, recipes, sample emails and voicemails that you can use leading up to the day.
Use these resources to kick off a new wellness campaign for your employees or add to an existing one. When companies make a pledge to increase their employees’ health, it helps the company and the community.
