Where Science Meets Fitness

No matter what your current fitness level or former athletic experience, you can learn to train like an Olympic-caliber athlete. I am Erin Borchard, a former elite springboard/platform diver (NCAA Champion and multi-year All-American at Stanford University, former member of the US National Diving Team, and two-time competitor at the US Olympic Team Trials), specializing in personal and small group training sessions. I am also a Phi Beta Kappa student with a B.A. in Human Biology; my strong science background is an ever present influence shaping and changing my training philosophy.

I want to help you push yourself to YOUR maximum...you'll be shocked to find the true athlete living inside of you.

Awesome WOD @ CROSSFIT S3 Today...Worth a Try

S3 has done a lot of WODs (Workout of the Day) in the past that they call "Interval Weight Training."  The pattern is mini-workouts of strength paired with traditional cardio, with rest intervals between the mini-workouts; there is usually a "finisher" to the workout, as well: a high rep assignment of some crazy tough multi-joint strength movement.  I am new to S3, so this was my first go at an "IWT" style workout.  It made me feel slightly barfy, but it was awesome!

When you try this one on your own, go all out during your work sets.  The rest interval should be pure rest; feel free to sit your bum down even.  Good luck!
