Where Science Meets Fitness

No matter what your current fitness level or former athletic experience, you can learn to train like an Olympic-caliber athlete. I am Erin Borchard, a former elite springboard/platform diver (NCAA Champion and multi-year All-American at Stanford University, former member of the US National Diving Team, and two-time competitor at the US Olympic Team Trials), specializing in personal and small group training sessions. I am also a Phi Beta Kappa student with a B.A. in Human Biology; my strong science background is an ever present influence shaping and changing my training philosophy.

I want to help you push yourself to YOUR maximum...you'll be shocked to find the true athlete living inside of you.

Wonderful WODs @ CrossFit 626 (Pasadena, CA)

While visiting home in Southern California for my family's summer vacation last week, I attended two WODs at local CrossFit box, CrossFit 626, in the city of Pasadena.  These were toughies (short duration/ super high intensity) for me, and they're definitely worth sharing.

WOD #1:
5 Rounds for Time -
*5 x Power Clean (115 lb.!)
*12 x Hand Release Push-Up
*15 x Toes2Bar

WOD #2:
10 Rounds -
*50m Sprint within 15 sec. (whatever remains of 15 sec. = your rest)

-rest, then

5-4-3-2-1 x
*Push Press (115 lb.!)
*Lateral Burpee (burpee + lateral hop over barbell)
